MMOG or MMO Grind?

MMORPG games today require way too much grinding. This is not a new trend, since the leveling system has with us since the dawn of online gaming, but I am surprised that the developers do not allow players a new way, to have found before. The most enjoyable aspects of MMORPG games are not killing rabbits and snakes, but attacks with friends and participating in PvP. When have you heard the last time your friend the time he killed orcs for six hours long and had a blast? Not often, I hope. Some games actually deal with the grind a lot better than others, such as World of Warcraft really interesting quests, which is also a great source of experience, but games like MapleStory were all out grind down to do with nothing else to grind, too.

When I Quested and grinded their way to level 60 in World of Warcraft [Pre Burning Crusade, it] does not really feel like a chore, as I always had quests or instancing with friends. World of Warcraft actually handled theLeveling system very well, as there were alternatives to grinding. But I sometimes I find myself grinding for hours at a time when I all quests that I could find. It was not even fun, but I told myself that I had once met level 60, I have more fun, and I did. The problem was getting up to 60 years.

MapleStory, a free Korean MMORPG is the epitome of grind. The only way to grind to level up, and unlike World of Warcraft, where you reach maximum level in a month orso of casual play, it is well over six months of hard core playing at level 100, which take only reach halfway to the level of the game to cap. Another problem was that in MapleStory fight, was not at all interesting, but an absolute requirement. There was not time efficient monsters in MapleStory that beat not kill the single-hit, as you take a lot more experience, a monster lower level than two more monsters could. To refer again to level 60 or so,They would have the 7000 slaughter of monsters that can not be very time consuming and definitely fun to play because it is not at all challenging.

Games like Fly for Fun and Hero line models also have similar experiences, which kill more monsters is not as efficient as low slaughter monsters en masse. Another problem with these games is that the experience needed to level up increases exponentially as you level up, which makes grinding even more of a chore. I hopethat one day the developers will find a new way for players to promote and allow more time for the real game, but rather than grinding to a high enough level in a position to enjoy the game.
