Online Dating Tips - Dealing With Rejection

Online dating is a great way to meet new people both for love and friendship, but it's fast paced and rejection is inevitable. Unlike traditional ways of meeting someone such as in bars and clubs with a limited amount of people, online dating has thousands of members, and new ones joining every day. This means that you have a far greater chance of meeting someone who you will click with.

Members regularly have lots of messages which they have marked ready to answer to, so don't get put off if you have to wait a while to hear back from anyone you have contacted. It's advisable to to sort through as many profiles as you can in your area and select at least 20 or more that you like the look of. Chances are that you won't hear back from them all anyway, so don't worry.

Don't keep sending messages to a member if she or he doesn't respond. This can be annoying and put most people off from contacting you back. You may come across as being needy and desperate!

If you find that you are getting poor response from your profile, change it. Upload a new photo of yourself, look at your description. Is it interesting enough? Add something witty and make it more fun.

Never take rejection personally as it happens to everyone in the online dating world. Just move on and contact more members. It's a numbers game and the more people you contact the greater chance of finding someone that suits you. It's a bit like selling, the more people you approach with your product the greater the chance of sales. The only difference is the product is you!

Don't quit after a few weeks, just keep contacting new members. There are lots of different online dating sites and many of them are free to join. Be wary of completely free dating sites though as they often encourage time wasters and undesirables. Most online dating sites let you join for free allowing you to browse profiles. However you have to pay a joining fee if you want to contact any.

You may even end up in the position of having to reject replies, and this can seem hard at times. Some online dating sites provide a pre written rejection email. This is impersonal though and may be hurtful. Personalise your rejection emails and try to explain in the nicest possible way the cause of your rejection.

If you find that a member is harassing you with emails and text then you must report them to the administrator of your dating site. Sadly this one of the downsides of online dating, but it can also happen in the real world. Providing you don't hand out personal information such as your phone number or where you live you should be fine.

Some people have very little confidence and find rejection hard. The least setback can to react badly. You will come across these types of people everywhere in life and all you can do is just to ignore them. It's not your fault and you don't need to counsel them.

Dating Tips - How to Overcome Your Fear of Rejection and Deal With It!

In the dating game, nobody likes to be rejected. When that happens, it makes one feel really down and the first thing that most people would do is to find fault with themselves. I fully understand how upsetting it can be when you finally plucked the courage to express how you feel, only to get an answer that flatly says "Sorry, you are rejected"!

That's why people who have experienced rejection in dating often feel uncomfortable to date again after their first few attempts. They lose confidence in themselves and breed negative thoughts about even starting any relationship. They might even suffer from low esteem eventually.

But if you look at it from another point of view, rejection is just a numbers game. Just like when you walk into a furniture store to buy a dining table, you may not set your eyes on the first one that you see. You will most likely walk around and compare the sizes and prices of different tables. You may also have a preference for a round table instead of a square one. See what I mean?

Rejection is often just a selection process. You rejected the square dining table and eventually bought the round one because it fits nicely into your dining area. For someone else though, the square one may be perfect for them! Same goes for the dating game. You may reject someone because they are not tall enough for you, but someone else may reject you because you are too tall for them!

Rejection is often not personal. It's wise to learn how to deal with it more positively. It is not an opportunity for self-pity, but rather be positive, reflect and self-examine on the reasons why you are rejected. Sometimes, the reasons do not lie with you, why make yourself sad over it! If you don't welcome rejection, you will tread on it over and over again subconsciously. But when you learn how to let go and move on, only then you will untie the knot in your heart and allow someone else to come in.

Handling rejection requires an immediate adjustment in attitude. If the person doesn't return your interest, you may feel depressed initially, but after a day, snap out of it and move on! Feeling sorry for yourself means you have succumbed to the fear of rejection, and defeated your goal of overcoming it.

Love and dating is a complex process. If it is not meant to be, respect the other person's wishes graciously. It's just part and parcel of life's selection process. There is absolutely nothing wrong with you, it just means both of you are not meant to be a couple, that's all. Don't take rejections too personally but always deal with it rationally and you will be a much happier person.

Dealing with rejection

I know that happens to a lot of you guys and I want to give you some advice on how to handle it.

The performance of these real hot and sexy woman in a nightclub, bar, party, etc. and you have their phone number. She seemed genuinely interested in you, and you can not wait to call them the next day.

So, you call the next day and all you get is her answering machine. You leave a message for them to call you back. Wait a few days and she never called back. They think thatshe tries to avoid you. I would be her the benefit of the doubt. Maybe she has not received your message, delete your message by mistake, she's simply been too busy, a family emergency came, she is sick and not feel like talking to you, etc.

Also recommended is what I do, they call it again. If she answers, make sure and listen to the sound of her voice. If she sounds like she is not happy to hear from you, you will probably notice that they are not interested in you. If you have your voicemailagain, please leave a message for them to call again. If it still does not give back to your call, and they move on. Take the hint, she tries to give you that they do not look interested in you.

Do not take it personally. We all get rejected. It is a part of the game off. You do not want to someone not interested in you will anyway.
